This Is Real: Cartoon Dad Beats Out Flesh & Blood Fathers For National Parenting Award
In what will surely come as no surprise to any of the 10 million single mothers currently living in America, a CARTOON DAD has been awarded the National Fatherhood Initiative's 2013 Fatherhood Award. Yes, the average American dad is now so bad that IMAGINARY FATHERS are being looked to as role models. This year's winner? Grug from The Croods!
Vincent DiCaro, the NFI’s vice-president of development and communication, said, "Grug epitomizes many of the ideals of what being a dad is all about. First and foremost, he understands that being a great dad means sacrificing your own comfort and safety to ensure that your family is taken care of. National Fatherhood Initiative is honored to bestow the Fatherhood Award on Grug for exemplifying involved, responsible, and committed fatherhood."
When asked to comment on this symbolic slap in the face, the president of Deadbeat Dads For Deadbeat Dads said, "I already told my little waste-of-a-weekend, 'If you think we're gonna spend our court-enforced visit seeing The Croods, you're as crazy as your mother!'"
Well, congratulations, Grug. AND SHAME ON YOU, REAL DADS!
